Only a few days back we have talked about the BOBOVR X1, a relatively cheap All-In-One VR solution. Today, we have a look at its bigger brother, the BOBOVR X2 with 2K display!
The main difference between the BOBOVR X1 and X2 is probably the screen itself, while the X1 comes with an “OK” 1920*1080 display, the X2 features an high resolution 2560×1440 panel. If you have tried VR in the past then you should know how crucial are those added pixels, that exponentially improve viewing quality and reduces pixelation. It also packs a pair of aspheric PMMA optical lens to bring the headset a 120 -degree viewing angle.
The BOBOVR X2 is powered by an ARM Cortex A72 RK3399 CPU coupled with an ARM Mali-T860 GPU, 4GB of RAM (vs the 2GB on the X1) and 16GB of internal memory (expandable to 128GB).
BOBOVR’s X2 also features WiFi 2.4G/5G, Bluetooth 4.0 and difference sensors such as: gravity acceleration sensor, three-axis gyroscope, magnetic sensor and a distance sensor to understand when you’re wearing the headset.
This VR headset can play 4K panoramic videos, it has an HDMI 2.0 output to attach an external screen, focus adjustment, navigation keys. It’s fueled by a 3500mAh capacity battery that should provide about 3 hours of continuous use and it runs Xiaozhai VR 1.0 Android OS.
