HIGOLE GOLE1 Plus Mini PC: Why would I need one of those?

We are again in the weird Chinese gadget territory with the HIGOLE GOLE1 Plus Mini PC. It’s shaped like a thick tablet but – as the name suggest – it actually is a mini PC.

Well, name aside, it has the hardware of a tablet and the size of a book. In photos it appears to be sporting a big display on the top, but there are no actually info about it. We don’t know it’s screen size, resolution or kind of panel for that matter.

What we are aware of is its internal hardware. The GOLE1 Plus is powered by a Intel Cherry Trail T3 Z8350 Quad Core CPU, Intel Gen 8-LP GPU, 4G LPDDR3 of RAM and  64G / 128G of internal storage. This hardware should be powerful enough for a light PC use and web browsing, I wouldn’t expect much more than that.

The mini PC comes with Windows 10 and features all the necessary IO: HDMI, LAN, microSD slot, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0.

The HIGOLE GOLE1 Plus packs a 6000mAh lithium-ion battery and will have an autonomy of about 8 hours.

So.. basically, this is a mini PC with a display and a built-in battery, which we call tablets where I am from.
